The First Few Weeks in Manchester

So we have finally started to get settled in our new home in Manchester. We are adjusting to apartment living and starting to enjoy the fact that we actually live in a city for a change. Jeff's company has put us up in a nice apartment on the 7th floor of a building right in downtown Manchester. We have a great view of the mountains in the distance and the Merrimack river. One of the best parts is that we are able to walk out the front door of the building and make our way to restaurants, shops, and even church. It is quite a difference from our places in both Texas and Florida where we had to drive to get to anything. Also, there is so much to do within an hours drive from where we are situated. We have already done more touristing here than we did in our entire time in Florida (granted, Jeff is done with school now which helps to make more available time). The only real issue is taking the dog out (elevator down 7 floors every time gets old) , but we are developing a pattern so its not going to be the end of the world.

Brennan likes his new digs.

Had to take a picture since this might have been the first time we had them in blue and pink.

Is there a problem here?

Brennan laughs as he escapes his straight jacket.

Nora has started making this face often enough to catch it on camera.

Cute smile & shirt.

Nora talks on the phone (on the potty).

Nora loves her fishing game!

And Brennan rolls over... almost.

A little help here??

Nora thought Sandy needed some toys to play with.

Over Memorial Day weekend we took two day trips. First on Saturday, we drove to Portsmouth. We checked out some shops, ate at the Portsmouth brewery, went to the Strawberry Banke Museum (historic homes & period actors), and then to a quick drive into Kittery, ME. On Monday, we joined another family from Jeff's work on a trip up to Newfound Lake. It was gorgeous up there. The lake is in situated in the mountains with a small beach and picnic tables for visitors. It was a nice relaxing day at the beach.
